Happy Summer Dealers…
You have not heard from me for a while for many reasons.  It has been an incredibly strong Emtek Hardware selling season which is what we all want, and with this also comes lots of work trying to keep it all moving in the right direction.  I have also been experiencing e mail issues.  The last e mail I sent to all of my dealers, I experienced over 100 bounce backs that did not reach dealers.  Since I am very limited in this area, it has taken me a while to resolve this issue and this is my first attempt to reach out to all of you again. I am hopeful you receive this and that issue is behind me!
What’s Happening at Emtek?
1.  Emtek has added many new faces in the customer service, order entry and manufacturing areas to handle the sharp increase for product.  It seems to be going well. Training new people is a lengthy process and they are on it.
2.  Emtek is trying to increase inventory levels as quickly as possible to eliminate product delays and return to our normal  “Product always in Stock policy”.  Emtek does not guarantee product in stock but they do try very hard to do business in this manner.
3.  Emtek opens the phone lines in California at 5 a.m. west coast time or 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.  The first hour they do have a small staff so it can be a bit of a wait.  The factory however, does not open up until11:00  a.m. our time, so it is a bit of a wait when information is needed from someone at the production facility.
4.  I have attached the new US14 Polished Nickel deadbolts that have been introduced.  The Polish Nickel finish, which has a lifetime finish warranty, has been incredibly well received.  I am certain you will be seeing it enter into the entry set area soon.  The deadbolt addition does allow you to offer entry door hardware by using a passage with the deadbolt.
5.  The Hanover key in lever has been introduced in our brass finishes as well as adding the Disc Rosette to the key in knob and lever offerings.
6.  A mortise offering “The Hancock” has been added to the mortise offerings.

MIELE PHASE IN Gen 6000 / PHASE OUT Gen 4000 – OVEN/COFFEE/WARMING DRAWERS

I wanted to let you all know some important information regarding our new Generation 6000 launch and the old Generation 4000 Ovens/Coffee/Warming Drawers, bear with my long email!  Please make sure all product in displays are red tagged and that sales teams know all Generation 4000 models with Miele can’t be ordered anymore (OVEN/COFFEE/WARMING DRAWERS ONLY!).  As a reminder, display orders can be placed at any time and there are no freight charges involved.  I am requesting that as soon as a piece is sold off please order a replacement so you don’t lose opportunities.  As a reminder, the new products have the same dimensions as your current displays.  All display orders are processed through me so as soon as you have requests ready with a PO number, please send them my way.

I have attached the transition sheets and model overview brochure for your reference in what Generation 6000 pieces replace Generation 4000 (there are 3 tabs in this excel file) – SHARE THIS WITH YOUR SALES TEAM.  The ContourLine replaces the CLASSIC line and the PureLine replaces the EUROPA line.  There are different options with ovens/coffee so please call me with any questions you may have and I will help you with the decisions.  I will be stopping in over the next few weeks talking about features and benefits of new ovens as well as handing out catalogs for them to show clients until product is on the floor.  Thank you for your patience with us as we make our transition.

Phase-in Generation 6000

We are pleased to announce that we are NOW starting to ship Generation 6000 appliances!!

Please be aware that we will have limited supply of some categories over the next few weeks. However, we are confident that we will be in good shape by end of July. If you have any quotes with product that needs to ship before end of July please let me know ASAP and I will see if I can get them moved to the front of the line.

Phase-out Generation 4000

Every confirmed order we have currently in our system for Generation 4000 will be fulfilled.

As of now, Generation 4000 items are no longer available via the dealer order sites. Therefore, if a package order for Generation 4000 cannot be filled in full, all appliances must be ordered from the Generation 6000 assortment. There is a banner on dealer order sites to inform dealers about that fact.

We are also proud to announce the release of our newly redesigned website, www.mieleusa.com, which launches TODAY. Designed with a new look and much easier navigation, the platform is updated with product pages containing information about our new built-in appliance product line, Generation 6000, as well as existing product data.
