Showroom, Field Sales, National Account, Retail, Canada and International Teams-

Effective November 5, 2018, new list prices will be established for Estate, Reserve and Prestige (non-retail) products

Action Required: Please email the enclosed price increase letter to your customers.

Below are the details:

  • 7% price increase, effective Monday, November 5, 2018 (Estate, Reserve and Prestige, non-retail)
  • Excel spreadsheets with new list pricing available Monday, October 22, 2018
  • Electronic price book PDFs available Monday, October 29, 2018
  • Orders placed prior to November 5, 2018 will be entered using current list prices.
  • Orders placed starting November 5, 2018 will be entered using the new list prices.
  • To avoid significant stress to our supply chain, total customer purchases through the end of October should not exceed more than 10% of the customer’s 2018 weekly run rate, unless there was a previously scheduled job or event.
  • Printed price books will be available the week of December 10, 2018

o   Please note that due to potential continued cost pressure in our business, Baldwin Marketing may delay the printing of the formal price books to early 2019

Subject: Tariff on Fleurco Products

Good evening All,

Please see attached letter from Robert Schachter.

Unfortunately, a 10% US tariff has been put on our Luna lighted mirrors.

Effective October 24, 2018 a separate line will be added to each invoice of Luna mirrors indicating and charging the 10% US tariff.

Please notify all accounts ASAP either by email or phone of the effective date.  As you visit accounts please leave a copy of this letter with the appropriate person.

Note this is an US imposed tariff and is totally out of Fleurco’s control.

“Don’t be afraid to fail”

John Mason authored a book entitled “Never Give Up – You’re Stronger Than You Think.”  In it, John says “Don’t be afraid to fail.” If you’re not failing, you’re not growing.

He also states when you stop growing and learning, it’s usually because you become less willing to risk failure. Failure is a delay, not defeat. A temporarily detour, not a dead-end street.

This same principle applies to selling. If you want to be successful, “Don’t be afraid to fail.” It’s never no, just not now.

A customer you keep is one customer you don’t have to find!

Sometimes we can spend all of our time and resources prospecting for new clients at the expense of our existing ones.

Everyone should maintain an on boarding and ongoing retention program with three basic components that help customers feel confident they made the right choice.

  1. Within 72 hours of the sale being closed, make sure you have something in place that reaches back out to the customer. It could be a letter, phone call, or email that thanks them for their business and helps to prevent any notion of buyer’s remorse.
  2. An ongoing outreach and communications program is crucial to client retention. This can include blogs, reviews, newsletters, onsite visits and more.
  3. Make sure you also deliver a year-end thank you message for customers that acknowledges their role in making it possible for you to operate your business successfully. It could be something simple as a phone call to say thank you for your business this year.

If you don’t take care of your existing customer base, someone else will!
