Everyone should maintain an on boarding and ongoing retention program with three basic components that help customers feel confident they made the right choice.

Within 72 hours of the sale being closed, make sure you have something in place that reaches back out to the customer. It could be a letter, phone call, or email that thanks them for their business and helps to prevent any notion of buyer’s remorse.
An ongoing outreach and communications program is crucial to client retention. This can include blogs, reviews, newsletters, onsite visits and more.
Make sure you also deliver a year-end thank you message for customers that acknowledges their role in making it possible for you to operate your business successfully. It could be something simple as a phone call to say thank you for your business this year.

If you don’t take care of your existing customer base, someone else will!

As the use of Multi Point locks on front doors continue to grow in popularity, very few lock trim options are available that fit the larger proportions and scale of entry doors. Introducing the Emtek Large Multi Point Entry Set Trim, designed to match traditional Entry Set Lock dimensions.

Trim plates are available in 3 distinct designs and can be combined with our wide variety of lever and finish options for a custom look.

Our Multi Point lock trims are compatible with American or European cylinder hubs and manufacturer lock mechanisms with a 2-3/8” (60mm) minimum backset.

Sales Leaders-

As many of you are aware, the US Government announced a new round of tariffs yesterday that will have a significant financial impact on our business, an impact that HHI cannot absorb. As a result, we will be passing along a cost increase to our customers in the very near future. While we are still working to finalize details around implementing an increase, we wanted to make sure that our customers were notified as soon as possible.

Attached you will find a letter from Tim Goff providing an initial notification to all customers of a cost increase due to the tariffs. Please send this letter to all of your customers and team members immediately. We will follow up later this week with a second letter that provides details around both how the cost increase will be executed as well as when it will take effect.

Control your spare thinking time!

Do you ever have difficulty staying engaged in the conversation when another person is talking? That’s because your spare thinking time is causing you to drift off or daydream.

Spare thinking time means that you have the ability to think three-to-five times faster than the rate at which another person is talking. If you don’t take steps to control it, you can miss what is being said.

Control your spare thinking time by asking follow-up questions, paraphrasing, taking notes and leaning into the conversation with eye contact and nodding your head. These activities demonstrate to the person that is talking that you are listening.

Remember that people equate not listening to not caring.

Pricing on the following two items was revised:

PMCB8 was changed from $19.00 retail down to $17.00 retail
JT1BD was changed from $340.00 retail down to $290.00 retail

Rim Latches will only be sold in combo sets, so the following Items have been deleted from the Price List:

AT1BR, AT2BR, AT3BR, AT4BR, AT5BR, AT6BR, RTWBI, RU6BI, RU5BR, RU4BR, RSABR, RSBBR, RTABR, RTBBR

Shutter Hardware will only be sold in combo sets.

If ordering for Brick, it must be noted on the orders so the appropriate part PKT40 can be added (at no charge).

If you have a website, please be sure to provide a selection option for wood or brick.
