Bertch Bath Update:
Custom Oasis Top Improvements

Bertch is replacing our Custom Top Molds to improve the quality and consistency of the products being produced. Over time, Molds degrade and need repairs and our existing molds were nearing the end of their viability.

The new molds will have a backsplash that is 4″. Our previous molds had a 3-1/2″ high backsplash.

The change to the backsplash height will effect the 19″ and 22″ custom top orders being produced beginning June 8th.

Additionally, in the Custom top offering, Bertch will be adding the option of a new style “Newport” oval bowl design (Drawing attached) .  This new bowl will be 17.5″ wide. This is similarly sized to our current recessed oval, but without the recessed space around the bowl. (Our current “Non-recessed Oval Bowl” is 21″ wide, which is considerably larger than a typical lavatory bowl.  That bowl size cannot fit in a 25″ top and obviously considerably reduces counter space regardless of the top size.)

The Newport Bowl will be added to the PDF of  the spec catalog on Infonet in the coming days.

While the change to the backsplash height will largely go unnoticed, we’re confident you will see an immediate improvement in gel coat finish on custom tops, and we look forward to further expanding the custom top offering as the molds are brought on line and the changes implemented in our system.
