Dishwasher UPDATE

The launch of the new dishwasher line has been delayed until EARLY JANUARY (with the exception of panel-ready models). Until it arrives, supplies of the JDB9000CWS and JDB9000CWP will remain strong, however the remaining models in the current line up will have limitations. If you have concerns for existing orders, please reach out to your representative for possible solutions.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – Whirlpool Corporation recently announced a price increase across the kitchen suite due to the growing raw material cost. With the recent Q4 price changes, Jenn-Air was able to limit the impact of this Corporate pricing strategy to the following:

  • Trash Compactors
  • Under-counter Refrigeration (select models)

JDB9600 Dish Recall

Whirlpool Corporation is in cooperation with BSH Home Appliances Corporation (“BSH”) in announcing a voluntary recall on October 19, 2017, to replace the power cord on certain Jenn-Air dishwasher models.

This decision was made following recent customer reports that found that the dishwasher power cord can overheat, posing a potential fire hazard.  No injuries have been reported.

Basco Important Announcement – New Product & Price Book Updates

As a result of customer feedback, I am pleased to announce some major changes in the format and structure of our core Basco product line. As the key features for shower doors evolve, we find it necessary to adapt our Basco product line to meet current trends and consumer preferences such as clear glass, semi-frameless designs and taller units. Toward that end, we are launching an entirely new format of our price books that captures the enhancements that we have made to the core Basco product line to include:
  • A new easy-to-use format to quickly and accurately select the door you need, with our products now segmented by configuration and organized by “Good, Better, Best” in features
  • Enhanced pricing-by-size to ensure you are competitively pricing products for the exact door your customer needs for their application
  • Clear Glass as the opening price point on all of our Basco framed and semi-frameless products
  • New standard height options, such as 76″ in all our shower models
  • Conversion of all pivot style swing doors to continuous hinge swing doors, providing a more stable door operation for outstanding fit, feel and finish for your customers
  • New products such as a 1/4″ Rotolo rolling door in both shower and tub heights, and a semi-frameless 1/4″ Bi-Fold door
These are just a few of the major highlights you will see in our new Basco price books when they launch on January 1, 2018. We will continue to share updates on new features and timing in future communications.
In concert with the launch, Basco will be implementing a 5% price increase across all of our product lines to include both the Basco and Roda brands. We find this action necessary in the wake of rising raw materials costs from our vendors. The price increase will be effective January 1, 2018. New price books will be distributed beginning in late November of this year to allow time for you to plan your business.

The new dish line is currently pushed to the beginning of January. With that being said, the 9800 dish are running low on stock, so if you have any JDB9800 orders written for the rest of the year, please order them and have delivered ASAP.
