Newport Brass 365 Product Discontinuation
Due to ongoing supply chain challenges, Brasstech, Inc. has made the difficult decision to discontinue all Newport 365 COLLECTION products and effective May 17th. Newport 365 successfully served the value-level price point consumer, but we were unable to resolve issues with our supply chain partners despite our best efforts.
As such, beginning May 17th, we will no longer accept orders for Newport 365 branded products. With that said, we are making every effort to process and ship open orders with existing inventory as well as product that is currently in transit to our manufacturing facility. For those customers who have open Newport 365 orders, we will notify you if we determine that we are not able to fulfill your order.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we feel that this is the best decision under the circumstances so that we can continue to properly service our valued customers. Please contact your local sales representative if you have additional questions.

Basco Supply Chain Update Clarification

Last week, we reported that Chrome and painted Infinity (4400/4500), Classic (3400/3500) and Deluxe (6150/7150) sliders are back to their regular lead times. We need to clarify that while the material has been received, we are currently working through the backlog of orders created due to this material outage. The ship date on your original order confirmation is still accurate and reflects when we plan to make and ship your door. We realize the inconvenience this delay has caused and are working quickly to fill all orders.
As material is received, we will be stepping down lead times incrementally so that older orders entered with longer lead times will be completed before newer orders. Please refer to your order confirmation for the expected ship date. The Infinity, Classic & Deluxe bypass doors in Brushed Nickel, Brushed Bronze and Brushed Gold are still delayed due to material outages.
We sincerely apologize for these delays and appreciate your patience as we work to return to normal lead times for all models as quickly as possible.

Affected Customers:
All pricing will be affected: list, job quote and net sheet pricing.
All finishes will be affected: SMC, AcrylX™, Cast Acrylic, BMC, LRTM, NexTile™, Utile and Porcelain.
All channels will be affected: US and Canadian wholesale and retail, manufactured structures and commercial.
Pricing:
Price adjustment on all fiberglass and resin based products, parts and accessories will be approximately 11% (SMC, AcrylX™, Cast Acrylic, BMC, LRTM, Utile and NexTile™).
Price adjustment on porcelain and shower door products will be approximately 5%.
Due to extraordinarily high order intake activity, the last opportunity to submit orders for current 2021 pricing is Friday, May 7 at 12pm CST.
New net sheet price data will be delivered by end of business Monday, May 10.
Reserve Allocation:
Due to significant raw material shortages and extraordinary order intake, a reserve allocation plan will be implemented immediately on all fiberglass and resin based products.
Porcelain and shower door products are not affected at this time. Allocation numbers will be delivered to you by your local sales agent by end of business Friday 14.
Note: Customer care will not have allocation numbers until Friday May 14.
The gap between price delivery and allocation delivery will essentially pause order entry for one week to facilitate system/price updating for ABG and our customers.
Current Purchase Orders:
We will honor all current open orders, including those with the 6% surcharge.
Quotes:
We will honor all current and future quotes for 30 days from issuance until further notice. This includes the new quotes reissued in the last two weeks. We understand this is a retraction of the six months maturity date. Regretfully, our vendors announced untenable terms the week after our last letter was released.
All quotes will have a 30-day maturity with a six-month delivery requirement.

In a recent blog written by John DiJulius titled How to Make your Customers Experience So Good, Price becomes Irrelevant, he made a statement that I had to pass on to my readers. “Discounting is the tax you pay for being average!”
When you provide average Customer Service, Quality and Delivery, you have to discount because the value is not there.
When you are providing an experience that’s great, price becomes irrelevant.
