Good morning all.

Enclosed is the updated SKU spreadsheet for the Estate and Reserve price increases.  Below are the details:

  • In order to provide 30 day price increase notice to customers, the effective date has changed from November 5, 2018 to November 12, 2018
  • SKU spreadsheet includes three tabs: 1) Estate new list prices 2) Reserve new list prices and 3) Estate discontinued SKUs

o   Estate new list prices

  • Pre-configured, 6% increase
  • Electronics & Multipoint, 10% increase
  • Screen Door Lock, 35% decrease (market adjustment)
  • 003 finish, reduced to tier 1 list pricing
  • All other Estate categories, 7.5%

o   Reserve new list prices

  • All Reserve, 6%

o   Estate discontinued SKUs

  • Available to order until February 1, 2019
  • Orders after February 1, 2019 will be available while supplies last.
  • See the discontinuances PDF for more details.
  • Electronic price book PDFs available Monday, October 29, 2018
  • Hard copy price book availability TBD based on future tariff activity.
  • The Prestige SKU spreadsheet with new list prices (non-retail) will be available next week.

[NOTICE] Upcoming Price Changes

To Our EWS Family,

I am sure you all know that there is some uncertainty in US and foreign markets regarding trade and tariffs. Many sources of raw materials, energy, parts and manufactured goods have already felt the impact and no doubt you have already seen or anticipate price increases for various products in many categories.

All EWS, Inc./Environmental Water Systems water filtration and treatment products have and always will be designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA. This decision was made years ago to ensure quality control, uninterrupted supply and has also added to our stability in costs and pricing.

I am very proud of the fact that EWS has only had 7 price increases over the last 32 years. It speaks to our quality, service and efficiency. In our 2018 pricing, which became effective December 31st, 2017, we had price decreases on some of our most popular products and developed more aggressive stocking programs and tiered discounts to encourage and reward realistic quantity purchases.

Even though tariffs on foreign goods and materials do not directly affect any EWS product, our vendors are feeling the economic pressure and have announced price increases to EWS that we can no longer absorb or control.

We have never done across-the-board increases. We will be making targeted price adjustments only and announcing these targeted increases (from 5% up to 11%) by November 1st, which will be effective as of December 1st, 2018.

Before you panic, we want to let you know that some key product will still be lower than 2015-2017 pricing. For example, the Max Flow and EWS Whole Home product, even with the slight price increase coming in December, will still be below 2015-2017 pricing.

There will be no inventory disruptions compared to the instability others may be facing with foreign supply chain issues.

New price sheets will be available to all purchasing associates as of November 1st. Revised EWS Summary Product and List Price Guides will available to update all EWS binders throughout November.

Basco Installed Sales

Basco has closed Installation Services in some markets in the USA due to lack of activity.  However, this is not the case in our market.

Our Installed Sales Program stays the same, so please continue to use the same procedures, which begins with completing a Measure Request sheet.  We have attached the latest version.

Correction to V & A 2018 Price list

Dear Valued Customer,

Victoria & Albert has discovered that the drain is listed incorrectly for the Pembrooke tub which is on page 06 of the price book.  It is showing the K-51-xx for the accessories but that is a typo.  It should list the K-50-xx as the correct drain for that tub.  Please make correction to your price book.

Phyrich Phones and computer

The Phylrich phone and computer system was infected with a virus yesterday,  These systems have been completely down.  The last communication I received, via text, was late this morning and they systems were still down.   They have IT people working on the problems now and we hope to be back up shortly.  Wanted you all to know.

Effective January 1st, List Pricing on all products will increase 2.9% on a blended basis.  For over 5 years we have kept price increases at a minimum or even zero on some popular items.  However there has been a sustained rise in prices of raw materials, labor, and even fuel that go into the cost of our products.
BLANCO has never compromised the quality of our products even in the hardest of times. We endeavor to keep moving forward with our commitment to deliver great products, service, and support.

IMPORTANT CARB2 PRODUCTION UPDATE

To All Hastings Dealers:

I’ve got an important update on the Carb2 situation, so please read below and let me know if you have any questions.

Back in Production

  • URBAN and SIGN are back into production, all orders in house will leave Italy by the end of October.
  • Normal production resumes November 1, all finishes will remain. The only change is for SIGN, the JEY handle is discontinued. Use LOFTY in its place.

DISCONTINUED:

Unfortunately we do have some collections that cannot be produced in Carb2 compliant materials. The following collections are DISCONTINUED, effective immediately:

Hito • 5.Zero • Dress • VIVA

There is still some stock available, please check with customer service.

FINISH CHANGES:

Other finish changes due to Carb2 material restrictions include the following, DISCONTINUED wood finishes:

  • 966 Tabacco, 952 Wenge, 954 Baltico Decape and 964 NOCE CANALETTO are discontinued effective immediately
  • The collections affected by the finish changes are OPEN, ONDA, EVOLUTION and COMPACT
  • The good news is that there are new replacements for these finishes and additions: ONDA will now have 4 NEW wood finishes also available for the OPEN, EVOLUTION, COMPACT and CUBIK.
  • The new wood finishes are 960, 961, 969, 967 and we will have more details on these and other finishes in a follow up e-mail. Samples have been ordered.

At this time, all of our lines have been updated and are in compliance, so this is the last update/notice you will receive about Carb2.

Water Dispensers – Inventory Delayed Until May 2019

Good Afternoon,

Effective immediately, ALL Waterworks Water Dispensers are currently delayed for inventory on stock finishes until mid/late May 2019. The primary issue is that the cartridge manufacturer has incurred significant delays (globally) that is impacting production. Lead times for special order finishes will be reviewed and communicated as the May date gets closer.  For wholesalers with open orders your regional manager will be reaching out to review the options available to you.
