New Finestrino Collection by Schaub & Company

Great design is in the space between. From the Italian word for “little window,” Finestrino, a collection by Schaub & Company, finds beauty in the art of negative space. Each piece features simple lines that surround an open center, creating a stunning compositional balance. Finestrino is available in a wide range of finishes, from burnished bronze to flat black, polished chrome, and more. Choose any pairing of finish and hardware to create your own window of art.

Alno, Inc. to acquire assets of Bates and Bates

February 3, 2015
Alno, Inc. is pleased to announce that, on January 29, 2015, it entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Bates and Bates, a world leading manufacturer of quality bath basins.

Alno looks forward to adding the Bates and Bates product lines to our family of products and we intend to continue the manufacturing of basins at the Bates and Bates plant in Oxnard, CA and in Mexico.  This acquisition of the Bates and Bates products enables our company to further expand and enhance its offerings in the bath products marketplace and we believe that this will result in increased market share.

As we undertake the process of folding the Bates and Bates product lines into our organization, we anticipate it may be five to eight weeks before they are fully assimilated into our inventory and our billing and shipping systems.  If, during the next five to eight weeks, you have an urgent order or need, we encourage you to contact our customer service department at 818 882-6028 for assistance.

We look forward to welcoming you as Alno customers.

Sincerely,
Jim Malcolm

Service Policy Change: “Leaking” RODA Units – IMPORTANT!

Please read the following as it relates to an important change in service calls for leakage on RODA units.

The Facts on Leakage

A fact with all RODA enclosures is they are precisely manufactured and designed with engineered gaps between the door and any stationary panels/walls to allow for proper operation. Because of this necessary clearance, RODA enclosures cannot be warranted against water leaking/escaping, however Basco does provide gaskets with all RODA enclosures to help minimize leakage.

Vinyls and Leakage Service Changes

As of February 1, 2015, Basco will no longer service at no charge Roda units that are leaking between those engineered gaps. The provided vinyl can be applied at time of installation for no additional charge.

  • If the consumer declines installation of these vinyls, they will be left behind for installation at a later time if so desired.
  • Please note return trips to install vinyl after the installation has been completed will be billed at the standard service call rate. If the homeowner prefers to work with Basco directly at this phase, they may call in using a credit card for this service fee.

As always, thank you for your continued support and service!

Stone Forest product delays and port congestion

Good Afternoon Stone Forest Dealers,

Stone Forest sources stone blocks from all over the world and much of this material is shipped into the west coast, where port laborers (who happen to be the highest paid blue collar workers on planet earth) have initiated a slow down in order to add pressure to pending contract negotiations.  This slow down is causing major havoc with the shipping lanes and lead times.
Container ships are now ‘drifting’ to the US instead of steaming, so shipping times are drawn out.  Once they arrive at port, they are anchored out in the bay awaiting a dock to unload.  When the containers are finally unloaded, they join the thousands of other containers on the docks that are stacking up until appointments can be made for pick up.  These appointments can take weeks if the container is on the bottom of the 10th row back under 16 other containers.
What once was a 3-4 week process from raising anchor to receiving material is now taking 7-9 weeks.  These times do not include the sourcing of materials or the time to sculpt and finish our stone products.
This added time in material transport is affecting the normal flow of our materials and delaying products including some stock designs and most custom projects.
We’re stuck in the same boat (pun intended) as countless other manufacturers relying on imported materials.  We’re doing what we can to get your product out to you as fast as possible and appreciate your patience and understanding while we all work through this.
Here’s to a fast resolution and a return to normal.
