As you are aware, the entire appliance industry is experiencing unprecedented supply chain shortages.  Viking is experiencing a component shortage that affects the production of Viking Induction Cooktops, Ranges and Tuscany Series Ranges featuring an induction cooktop.  The only induction models not effected at this time, are the Virtuoso Induction cooktops.  Manufacturing is working with suppliers to develop a replacement for this component, but at this time Viking’s best estimate is that they won’t be back in production until Q2 2022.

Please know that we will temporarily stop accepting orders for the affected models until we are ready to go back into production and can provide appropriate lead times. Please do not take any orders for:

• Viking Model VICU53014BST (5 Series 30” induction cooktop)
• Viking Model VICU53616BST (5 Series 36” induction cooktop)
• Viking Model VIR53014B (5 Series 30” induction range)
• Viking Model TVDR4814I (Tuscany Series 48” range with 4 gas burners and 2 induction burners)
• Viking Model TVDR6616I (Tuscany Series 66” range with 6 gas burners and 2 induction burners)

Attached is a list of all models that should be temporarily put on hold within your system.

Please also know that due to an availability issue with this griddle, Viking will need to delay shipment of open orders for the CRG7VGR (Viking 7 Series Accessory ViChrome Griddle) until approximately March 1, 2022. Additional orders will not be accepted until further notice. 

If you have customers that have been considering models listed above, we have options they could consider.

Those options include:

• If being considered is Viking Model VICU53014BST (5 Series 30” induction cooktop), changing the order to a Viking Virtuoso Model MVIV6304BBG (Virtuoso 30” induction cooktop), or Viking Model VECU53014BSB (5 Series 30” Electric cooktop)
• If being considered is Viking Model VICU53616BST (5 Series 36” induction cooktop), changing the order to a Viking Virtuoso Model MVIV6365BBG (Virtuoso 36” induction cooktop), or Viking Model VECU53616BSB (5 Series 36” Electric cooktop)
• If being considered is Viking Model VIR53014B (5 Series 30” induction range), changing the order to a Viking Model VER53014B (5 Series 30” Electric Range), or if possible One of the AGA 36” induction ranges
• If being considered is Viking Model TVDR4814I (Tuscany Series 48” range with 4 gas burners and 2 induction burners), changing the order to a Viking Tuscany Model TVDR48146B (Tuscany Series 48” range with 6 gas burners), or changing the order to a Viking Tuscany Model TVDR4814G (Tuscany Series 48” range with 4 gas burners and a griddle) or one of the AGA Mercury or Elise 48” induction ranges.
• If being considered is Viking Model TVDR6616I (Tuscany Series 66” range with 6 gas burners and 2 induction burners), changing the order to a Viking Tuscany Model TVDR6618B (Tuscany Series 66” range with 8 gas burners), or changing the order to a Viking Tuscany Model TVDR6616G (Tuscany Series 66” range with 6 gas burners and a griddle).

We recently were made aware of an error that was printed in our Alfresco price book.  Unfortunately, the retail pricing structure for the Alfresco access doors and access door enclosures were reversed.

Our team has corrected the digital price book that is included below for your use.  Our Outside Sales Representatives will be traveling through their markets applying a sticker to each price book in the field to correct this mistake.

1.       2021 PRICE INCREASE — Newport Brass, Brasstech, Ginger Price Increase takes effect today

2.       Lead Time Updates

Due to the unfortunate challenges of supply chain and shipping delays, and covid related challenges – the decision has been made to adjust lead times for setting proper expectations with order shipments.

Effective Monday, August 16, 2021 the following lead times will take effect:

• Newport Brass  ReadyShip: 4 weeks
• Newport Brass  Non-ReadyShip: 8 weeks
• Ginger:  3 weeks

Please note that rough valves still remain at 1 day.  
However, unanticipated factors may result in some occasional shipping delays.
