Bertch 1/19/26 Update

In late 2025, the U.S. Government imposed Section 232 tariffs, which included a 25% duty on timber, lumber, and derivative wood products used in kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities. The U.S. Government had planned to raise those tariff rates on January 1, 2026, from 25% to 50%. However, that increase has been postponed for one year. The existing 25% Section 232 tariff will remain in effect through at least January 1, 2027, instead of increasing in 2026.

What this means for you:
As a result of further analysis, we are pleased to share that the general inflation increase is being reduced. The 1.0% tariff-related increase remains. The overall price impact is being reduced from 3.9% to 2.9%.
We understand that dealers may need time to adjust their pricing systems; therefore, we are delaying the effective date of these changes to January 19, 2026.In summary, effective with orders received on or after January 19, 2026 (12:01 AM), a 2.9% price adjustment will apply to all Bertch orders, rather than the 3.9% announced on November 7th, 2025. To determine your updated factor, multiply your current factor by 1.029, then round the result to three digits.
For example:
If your current factor is .498, then .498 × 1.029 = .512 (rounded to three digits).
