With lead times lengthening due to growth rates in our industry and extended production times, we wanted to take a moment to provide you with some updates.
Due to global factory shortages of raw materials, parts, labor, increased energy costs in the EU and unprecedented logistics challenges, both in getting product here and through port, we are increasing our lead times on special order finishes in certain families.
Effective immediately, all special order finishes (non-stocked finishes) except Vintage Brass in the following families will have an extended lead time of 35 weeks:
Ø Henry, RW Atlas, Easton, Foro, Aero, Isla, Boulevard, Canteen, On Tap and Calais
Please allow 16-20 weeks on all other families.
Vintage Brass: Due to unforeseen circumstances all Vintage Brass orders will be plated in the U.S.
Ø Orders placed prior to 9/2021: If product was not available in in our BOC in Brass, orders were placed for Brass product to be plated. These orders have been escalated and estimated delivery dates will be on your shipping report.
Ø Orders placed after 9/2021: Brass product has been and continues to be ordered for these projects. Product is due in April 2022 and will be sent for plating once received. The plating process will take approximately 12 weeks after that, putting delivery in August 2022.
Valves:
Ø All Pressure Balance valves are currently in stock
Ø Thermostatic:
o GUTH37 Standard ¾” therm valve is in stock
o GUTH47 Henry integrated therm valve delayed until 12/10
o GUTH72 ½” integrated therm valve (Bond) due end of December
o GUTH56 Standard ½” therm valve
Ø Volume Controls
o GUVC16 & 17 3/4” volume control valve due on 12/3 and 12/15. Can sub with ½” valves GUVC18 & 19.
Ø Wall Mounted Faucets
o GULV27 due 12/3
o GULV25 arrived this week
o GULV29 Single Hole Bond Delayed through February
How You Can Help:
Ø Qualify your clients’ lead time expectations; determine when they need trim on site and guide them to make decisions that will meet their timeline.
Ø Try and avoid specifying special order finishes unless your client has at least 26-35 weeks before needing trim on site.
Ø Reach out to your Regional teams for assistance in quoting product that is readily available.
Ø Encourage your clients to place orders with plenty of time to spare. Please do not promise to rush or expedite unless product is in stock at the time you place your order.
Ø Please use the BP Portal and the expertise of your Regional teams to ensure you are specifying product that will meet your client’s time frame.
