Chicago Faucets is pleased to announce an improvement to our MVP faucet cartridge. The seat on the cartridge has been changed from hard, white plastic to soft, black EPDM rubber. The redesign offers the following improvements:
1. Softer seat material improves sealing characteristics in faucet bodies that have minor surface imperfections.
2. Increased surface area of the new seat also improves sealing characteristics in any fitting.
3. The new seat design allows us to automate the assembly process and manufacture to higher quality standards than ever before.
Availability –
The new cartridge design is in production for all current faucets and replacement parts.
Interchangeability –
The improved MVP cartridge is seamlessly interchangeable with the previous design; no alteration or adaptation of any kind is necessary. Standard run-time remains the same and is adjustable as before.
Visual Identification –
The new seat is black in color as shown in the image above.
Part Numbering –
All replacement part numbers will remain unchanged (e.g., 670-XJKABNF, 671-XJKABNF, 671-XDAB, 672-XJKABNF, and 667-080KJKABNF).
