Chicago Faucets: Bulletin: MVP Cartridge Redesign

Chicago Faucets is pleased to announce a redesign of our MVP faucet cartridge. This redesign was necessary to address the industry demands for additional cycle time. Our previous design claim was a 2-15 second cycle time, which adequately addressed water conservation needs. However, with new health concerns the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends washing your hands often, for at least 20 seconds at a time. As industry requirements change, we want to make sure that we have compliant products that meet our customers’ applications.

Performance –
The new design will allow for a 2-25 second cycle time across a 20-80 PSI pressure range based on 0.35 – 2.2 GPM flow rates. The MVP factory setting will be set to 8-12 seconds at 60 PSI.

Availability –
The new cartridge design is in production for all current faucets and replacement part sales. Our drinking faucet/bubblers (non-metering) will be in production within the next 30 days.

Interchangeability –
Preserving our tradition of interchangeability this new design offers a seamless transition into past, current and future designs.

Visual Identification –
The metering bushing, pin and spring have been eliminated as illustrated in the graphics below.

Part Numbering –
All replacement part numbers will remain unchanged, such as 670-XJKABNF, 671-XJKABNF, 671-XDAB, 672-XJKABNF and 667-080KJKABNF.
