Sometimes we can find ourselves being too agreeable and accommodating. There are times at work or at home when we should just say no.

Have you have ever said yes, when you should have taken a stand and said no, and as a result, you have to suffer the consequences that come from always being so agreeable?

Next time you are faced with this situation, stop feeling that you have to provide an immediate yes or no. Take a moment to think about it, or even give it some time before you respond. You can also thank them and then graciously decline.

My grandmother would always say to us, “Think before you speak and think before you act.” Now that’s wisdom!
