I am writing to inform you that Victoria + Albert has been acquired by Fortune Brands Home & Security, a leading U.S. consumer products company with four operating divisions in the cabinetry, plumbing, entry door and security segments. Victoria + Albert will join its Global Plumbing Group (GPG), a portfolio of plumbing brands that includes Moen, Riobel, ROHL, Perrin & Rowe and Shaws of England.
Edward Davies will continue to lead the business as managing director. Generally, we anticipate that other team members at the company as well as locations will also remain in place.
We view this acquisition as a positive step forward for both Victoria + Albert and the GPG businesses. Our people, brands and business will not change, but we will have greater opportunity to expand our product lines and geographic reach just as we have done over the last two decades. We also have the opportunity for wider distribution through channel relationships via other GPG brands:
We will continue to offer the same product assortment and styling that has made Victoria + Albert successful. In fact, Fortune Brands will help Victoria + Albert continue to introduce new products to the market.
Our business and brands will continue to exist, distinct from the other GPG brands. We will maintain our focus in markets where Victoria + Albert has strength. We will also have the opportunity to expand to existing and new geographies.
There will be no change in how you place orders as a result of the change in ownership. Current phone, email and fax lines will remain unchanged.
