Did You Know: Lighting Trends
While practical lighting is necessary for all homes, when lighting is elevated to the next level it can truly transform a space. From cabinet and showcase lighting to fixtures and pendants, there are many ways that lighting can play a part in the overall kitchen design. LED lighting is a huge trend in modern lighting design that provides more energy efficiency and a longer product life cycle. Kitchen lighting is the most important given that designers need to layer the lighting for overhead, task areas, and mood lighting. With different levels of lighting, the kitchen becomes more balanced and inviting.
Bloom™ GU10 LEDZephyr now offers a new Bloom ™ GU10 LED upgrade to replace its GU10 halogen lights. The new LEDs are dimmable, energy efficient and feature 20,000 hours of use, which equates to approximately 30 years! The 6-watt replacement lights will work in all of Zephyr’s under-cabinet hoods.
In the News: Good Housekeeping
The Lux Island was featured in the March issue of Good Housekeeping and  reached an audience of more than 4.3 million consumers interested in food, nutrition, home decorating, health, child care and other social issues. The Lux was part of a home remodel in Canada by celebrity designer, Jo Alcorn who felt that “it was important to have a low profile vent hood. The Lux Island range hood from Zephyr provided an unobstructed view through the kitchen to the front hallway and it provided the minimalist look we were going for.”
