Important Announcement from California Faucets – Port Delays

Dear Valued California Faucets Partner,

As many of you are aware, there has been growing discord at the shipping ports, with the contract between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) having expired on July 1st.  For the last few months, negotiations have been amicable, but in the last two weeks matters have taken a turn for the worse.
West Coast ports are experiencing a major slowdown that has caused serious delays in getting containers from the ports. The delay is ranging from 10-21 days and will continue to increase. Industry analysts are stating that a full lockout is possible in the near future.
What does this mean to you and your customers?   Due to the high backlog of containers at the port, the number of ships at anchor just off the coast and the current lack of work force, we are unable to give any solid ETAs for product arriving at into LA/LB ports.  This may result in some unavoidable delays in shipments to you.
While we are proactively shipping from overseas via air freight when possible to avoid impacting you, some shipments already in transit via ocean may be unavoidably delayed.
Our customer service team will do their best to keep you informed given the best information we have at the given time; however, we may not always be in a position to give information for events that are beyond our control.  We ask for your patience and understanding in the coming weeks while this situation is worked out by the various parties.

Thank You,

Jeff Silverstein
