Reward or Consequence
During a recent training session on “Attitude is Everything,” I asked the following question:
What motivates you to do the right thing even when no one is watching?
Is it Reward or Consequence?
In other words, what happens if I do or what happens if I don’t?
Personally, I’m motivated by the reward, however, there are certain situations where the consequence of not doing something is the driver for getting it done.
