We are writing you to inform you of an update to our freight program, which can be found in the front of your 2014-2015 price list. Effective immediately, all Class 4 shipments shipping to zip codes beginning with 100-103 and 118-119 will now carry a standard charge of $210.00. Again, this only affects LTL freight shipping to zip codes beginning with 100-103 and 118-119 (These are the NYC boroughs of Manhattan and Long Island). Over the past few years, all major LTL carriers have begun charging fees to ship these zip codes, which they refer to as High Cost Service Areas, and the average fee across the carriers is $60.00.
