Vent-A-Hood Lead time clarification

Hello All,
I would like to explain in better terms what lead times you should expect when ordering Vent-A-Hood products. VAH has been growing nationwide by considerable numbers. That’s great news that also carries a hidden burden, often longer lead times. Also, I recently found that what I have been using to offer production suggestions is grossly under estimated and for that I apologize. Going forward, please use this formula when figuring your delivery dates for your customers.
Stock Catalog: Any model found in this book has a 5 day guarantee delivery from conformation of your order to arriving at your dock*. This is a great tool and I strongly urge you to look through this catalog. Contact me if you do not have a copy of this.
All other models: Literally, any model number not in the “Stock Catalog” is going to be 12-15 weeks to produce, plus transit time. Keep this in mind, almost the entire factory is geared to making products from the stock catalog. They have a few people making ALL of the models that are not from the stock book, mostly by hand. Whether it’s a basic looking hood with zero modifications or a completely custom hood with every bell or whistle on it, it’s made by the few people on the custom assembly line. We have had some hoods come through rather quickly, but that is not the norm. It is greatly affected by how many orders are in the system.
The production sheets that I’ve been using to produce lead times for you are based on how much time it might take to make an item, but that does not take into effect that your hood has to wait it’s turn. VAH does not have the ability to speed things up, or allow a hood to skip in line. Everyone in the country would be asking for the skip, since no one like the wait time.
Vent-A-Hood is a great product to offer your customers that will continue to perform for a long time, It’s worth the wait.
I encourage you to look at the stock catalog and ask me to assist with any custom hoods.
